Computer Awareness & Basics course provides an introduction to computers and technology for beginners. This course is designed for students who are new to computers and want to build confidence using technology in a safe and supportive environment. The course focuses on foundational computer knowledge and everyday digital skills needed for learning and communication.
This course will give students the necessary skills to be able to:
- Understand what a computer is and how it is used in everyday life
- Identify basic computer parts and their functions
- Safely turn on, shut down, and use a computer or tablet
- Use basic input devices such as a keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen
- Open, close, and navigate simple applications and programs
- Practice safe and responsible technology use, including basic online safety
